The newly refurbished Mercure Budapest City Center

A new hospitality symbol was born, introducing the refurbished Mercure Budapest City Center.

“Walk along the Mercure Street, play with your senses, meet the Mercures and discover the essence of Budapest.” - a slogan that sums up the philosophy of the “youngest” Hungarian hotel of the brand, the Mercure Budapest City Center. As the outcome of the recent remodelling, business and leisure travellers can enjoy an innovative fusion of Hungarian traditions and contemporary design presented in a personalised Mercure manner, so every guest can feel unique while staying at the new tourism symbol of the Hungarian capital.

In order to turn the space into a real Mercure establishment characterised by local specialties combined with the very best of modern design, an ambitious renovation project was launched and the Mercure Budapest City Center is now ready to introduce the peculiarities of the Hungarian culture to its guests.

The lobby was reconstructed as a new “street” connecting the Váci utca and the Petifi Sándor utca. The design of the so-called “Mercure Street” and the bar area fuses natural elements with the favourites of contemporary decoration ingredients so successfully that visitors are confronted with an unconventional experience that intrigues all five of their senses.

The common areas of the hotel were refurbished with the aim to spoil guests with different atmosphere possibilities. Depending on their mood, they can relax in the comfortable armchairs of the lounge area while listening to Hungarian music; enjoy a delicious cup of coffee in the newly established Café Vu working on one of the computers or have the opportunity to absorb the buzz of “Váci utca” from the “front row” seats of the intimate Pink Saloon.

As far as the room selection is concerned, 191 Standard, 14 luxurious Privilege, 16 health-conscious Bio-Privilege rooms, 2 rooms for disabled guests and 4 Junior Suites are waiting for those travellers who wish to perceive the essence of the Hungarian capital when spending time indoors.

Mercure Budapest City Center not only serves the comfort of its leisure guests, but is eager to satisfy the needs of company clients as well. Business meeting participants can utilise the 6 Board and Meeting Rooms, equipped with the latest high-tech inventions and enjoy their coffee break at the Privilege Lounge offering unique tastes and spectacular views.

“Despite all these unconventional architectural marvels that came with the renovation, the hotel could not become an authentic Mercure hotel without our dedicated staff. The Mercures are committed to offer each client a unique experience that exactly fits their needs and desires,” comments Thomas Simonett, the manager of the Mercure
Budapest City Center.
