Expansion of the Mercure network
Mercure, a dense network of midscale hotels, growing worldwide and offering 670 hotels in 48 countries.
In 2009 with around 40 openings, Mercure has expanded its network worldwide in capitals and major cities, catering to both business and leisure travellers:
• in Asia with openings in India (Bangalore), in Japan (Sapporo, Yokosuka), in Vietnam (Hanoï, Dalat) and in Indonesia (Pontianak)
• in Australia (Melbourne, Sydney)
• Mercure continues to expand in Europe: Spain (Madrid), Germany, France, Poland, Italy
• as well as in Brazil
Early 2010, the Mercure network will open its first location in Slovakia with the newly constructed Mercure Bratislava Centrum (175 rooms).
