Hotels with personality scoop two more awards

TWO Best Western Hotels have both won the local Large Hotel of The Year Award at the prestigious annual ceremonies held in the North West.

The Best Western Premier Queen Hotel and the Best Western Premier Leyland Hotel were up against a number of tough contenders, including Hilton, to scoop the Large Hotel of The Year Awards for Chester for the former, and for Blackpool and Lancashire for the latter.

There are five local tourism awards in the North West and so by winning two, Best Western has more hotels in the top five in the region than any other brand.

Judging was carried out by an independent firm of quality management consultants, which was then followed by three mystery shopper visits, where the Best Western Premier Queen Hotel was summarised as truly outstanding.

Tim Wade, head of marketing at Best Western, says: “Winning one of these awards is a real honour, but winning two in the same area is outstanding. These two hotels are full of personality and the awards are both a recognition of this and a testament to the dedication and hard work of the hotel staff to ensure each guest has an amazing time. We now have our fingers and toes crossed for the next round.”

The Best Western Premier Queen Hotel and the Best Western Premier Leyland Hotel will now go up against three other hotels at the North West Tourist Board Award finals in September. The winner will then go on to represent the North West in the national finals.

In the heart of the beautiful and historic city of Chester and with over 80 newly opened Kings bedrooms, it’s not just the name that will make guests feel like royalty at the Best Western Premier Queen Hotel.

Whether guests wish for style, substance, charm or sophistication, the Best Western Premier Leyland Hotel has got it all. Coupled with a swimming pool, spa, steam room and sauna, who would say no?

Priding itself on personality and individuality, Best Western is the UK’s largest group of independently owned hotels. It has over 270 members across the length and breadth of the country offering stylish city breaks, country retreats, spa weekends, golfing breaks and stunning coastal hotels.
