Mercure network expands in Germany and Vietnam
With three new hotels during the first quarter of 2010, Mercure is continuing to widen its network in Germany. The three openings increase the brand's portfolio in Germany to 106 hotels.
The new Mercure Muenchen Airport Freising (former Novotel) is the ninth Mercure hotel in Munich and its region, and opened on March 1st 2010. Nestled at the foot of the historic old city of Freising, it is close to the train station and enjoys direct access to the airport. The hotel's 140 spacious, comfortable rooms feature modern furniture, streamlined design and open spaces. The wellness centre offers a sauna and jacuzzi.
The Mercure Hotel Panorama Bad Reichenhall, a franchised hotel, stands at the edge of the Alps. In addition to its 80 rooms, it boasts a wellness complex including a spa, a heated swimming pool, a sauna and medicinal pools. From the terrace, guests have a breathtaking view of the mountains. The hotel's meeting room can accommodate up to 120 people
The Mercure Hotel Ruesselsheim Frankfurt Airport, also a franchised hotel, is located just minutes away from public transport and Frankfurt Airport. The brand's 12th establishment in Frankfurt and its region, it offers 84 comfortable rooms, 7 conference rooms with natural lighting and a charming bistro-bar
In Vietnam, opening of the Mercure Hue Gerbera:
Located in the city centre, near the Hue harbour, the hotel has 110 rooms. The rooms are decorated in a contemporary style and offer a panoramic view of the city, the Perfume River and Trang Tien Bridge.
The hotel restaurant, Le Bordeaux, features international cuisine and specialities of the Hue region. In the evening, guests can enjoy the Sky Bar on the top floor of the hotel. For relaxation, customers are invited to take advantage of the hotel's outdoor swimming pool and fitness centre.
Finally, for seminars, weddings and other events, the Mercure Hue Gerbera has two conference and meeting rooms with seating capacity for 500 people.
The hotel is the third Mercure establishment to open in Vietnam: the other two are the Mercure Hanoi La Gare and the Mercure Dalat.
